Sox Shots

I chose Arthur Griffin, the quintessential New England photographer, and his iconic Ted Williams image to be the keystone for a playful group exhibit celebrating Boston’s legendary baseball team.

Opening the satellite exhibition space of his namesake museum in Boston’s South End in July - it seemed only fitting.

I selected archival images from the Boston Public Library and other private collections to accompany Griffin’s first Kodachrome of The Splinter at bat. I included recent images by sports columnist Steve Wilstein and a fashion editorial shot on location in the original Fort Myers Spring training ballpark by Bob Packert and Sharon White.
