Last Hurrahs at Paris Photo

My final interview with Tamsin Green @tammidori of @manual.editions for my Paris Photo In Your Pocket series was over hot chocolate & coffee on this soggy Sunday. We met (via @m.att.johnston_) last year at Polycopies and stayed in touch. Tamsin focuses on sustainability practices in photography and photo bookmaking — resulting in her handcrafted books of depth and beauty.

She returned to Polycopies and I headed to Sophie Calle at the Picasso Museum. Fascinating and absurd I particularly enjoyed Calles’ overbearing presence and consistent provocation and wit.

Hit my fave chocolate haunt in the Marais before taking in Carol Drake and Ruth Orkin at the Foundation Cartier Bresson. And wrapped my explore with the group exhibit at Le Bal on the complexities of the maternal relationship. A somewhat bleak and bizarre compilation that lingers.

My last hurrah was to be at the JR event however it proved to be so popular the Metro wouldn’t stop at the Opera station.

Bisous Paris till next time 💋
