Hello & Welcome,

Thank you for exploring my website, podcast and consulting services. My work aims to share resources on creativity, photography and the photo bookmaking process. Assisting artists to transform their abstract ideas into tangible exhibitions, projects and books is what I do. Concept Aware®: How You See & Why It Matters is a framework that pulls apart the creative process to provides artists the tools to interpret work metaphorically, aesthetically and emotionally. My mission is to source and share underrepresented narratives, aim for gender parity and to illuminate, elevate and amplify the limitless perspectives embedded in visual storytelling.

It has been my privilege to consult with photographers from Siberia to Vietnam to hone their visual voice and craft their most impactful projects, exhibitions and photobooks. From editing and sequencing images, to crafting an artist statement, award submission, exhibition or book proposal I would love to collaborate. Elements of Concept Aware® are applicable for the emerging artist to the seasoned professional. Hop on a free exploratory call, scheduled here on Tuesdays, to discuss how.

My Background & Experience

In addition to establishing and running a photo gallery for 3 years I have curated over 30 exhibitions featuring over 115+ international photographers in the U.S., Mexico, Columbia and Japan. My podcast has engaged 20k listeners in 79 countries. Our 90+ episodes with photographers, curators and critics offers a global view on contemporary photography and the photobook-making process.

Education and community are essential to my practice and the evolution of our field. Paris Photo, AIPAD and Recontres d'Arles have been my stomping grounds for over a decade. I am honored to have been a panelist for awarding artist grants for the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a Speaker on Concept Aware® for SPE National, an instructor at Maine Media and Emmanuel Colleges, a lecturer at Harvard University, M.I.T., Wellesley College, Tufts SMFA, and a workshop leader at the Griffin Museum of Photography, Filter Photo and Los Angeles Center of Photography.
